Years of planning comes to an end without a contingency plan. It is very important to handle crisis well as a happening or not happening of a particular event depends on unseasonable and unthinkable forces which can lead to a complete disruption. While studying the macro level factors of a particular event of a country, it is important to know how well can a country manage its risk of being history or of certain decisions which it might have to take for the welfare of its people. With the odds of 52:48 the Brexit finally cherished. The people of United Kingdom under the leadership of the then Prime Minister David Cameron decided for a complete brexit. Brexit is a term given to the exit of the United kingdom from one of the largest trade unions of the world the European Union. Many leaders have failed to execute a contingent plans for a Soft exit or a hard exit but the governments and the house of commons have failed to create or take a decision to lead the country towards an exit. Then came Prime minister Boris Johnson who held his shoulders high and took up the responsibility of an exit.

August 2019 saw an era of the Operation yellowhammer. The latter is a code name used by the United Kingdom treasury for cross government civil contingency plan for a no deal brexit. In short if The UK government wants to get out of the EU without any deal then the Operation Yellowhammer will be having a contingency plan which will try to minimize the damage and get to its mission of no deal. The contingency plan deals with how we can stabilize the imports and exports after the hit and ow will the government conduct cross border trade without any lag or any factor associated with a loss.

2nd August,2019 marked a day when the British prime minister officially claimed the papers have been leaked in the media and all the planning and designing had been available in the public domain. Fair enough? but even after the British declaring an exit which revels that British might finally lead herself ahead in the race by closing a deal with EU might surrender to the power of the house of commons which did not accept its proposal and unfortunately the house of commons had to be adjourned until November violating the deadline of 30th October 2019. So was yellowhammer a move to get people off balanced? or crash the markets? No one knows but the answer to all questions lies at the discretion of the House of commons.

BENGALURU :Blackstone Group LP has invested $3.6 billion as of end-September in India, its record for a single year in the country.

With this, total investments by the New York-based firm across Private Equity and real estate deals have crossed $12.6 billion. Blackstone aims to surpass the $13 billion mark by December 2019, which will also mark its 13th year of operations in India.

Blackstone made real estate investments of $6.6 billion as of end-September, surpassing private equity funding at $6 billion.

But the shocking news which came from the ground zero was that Blackstone capital diverged its invest into omni-channel education and test preparation firm Aakash education services pvt ltd.

Aakash is one of India’s largest test preparation companies, and helps students of classes 8-12 for medical, engineering and other competitive examinations. The digitally enabled company has more than 200 centres across 130 cities, employing over 2,200 teachers to help train more than 250,000 students.

While Blackstone did not disclose the financial details of the transaction, one person aware of the deal, requesting anonymity, said that the PE firm will pick up a 36.5% stake in Aakash for ₹1,350 crore at a valuation of over $500 million.

Further,

Private equity firm Blackstone has invested ₹1,750 crore into Kishore Biyani’s Future Lifestyle Fashions Ltd (FLFL).

Future Group announced that the investment, which includes debentures, was made in FLFL’s holding company Ryka Commercial Ventures Pvt Ltd. This means that Blackstone will be the only financial partner in Ryka.

“As a part of the transaction, Blackstone has also acquired a 6 per cent stake in FLFL through a block deal with Ryka,” a statement by Future Group said.

Similarly the Canadian Firm Brookfield Asset management company has been active in investing in the renewable space currently holding talks for a 800 million investment in Renew. Real estate in India has shown a significant downturn due to vacant inventories and seizure in investments. Gone are the days of a gloomy house dream and here we are heading into a real financial crunch in this space. Much needs to be done to increase the turnover and inflows.

China! the country much feared by the most veteran leaders of the world due to the dominance it has created and is creating in the South East Asian regions. China has kept itself locked from external forces due to which no other country in the world can predict its strength and it is very tough to measure its nuclear arsenal. On such lines Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the Japanese Prime minister realized the growing dominance and diplomacy that china has created over the world. He explained that if China goes rogue then its will be a major threat to the world peace. Hence Prime minister Abe created a front in the year 2007 by reaching out to countries like The United states of America,India,Australia and Japan. He claimed that countries need to unite in order to curb the growing dominance of China and to create peace in the world so the dream to control China turned into reality and the countries united to form the Quad.

QUAD was a famous term coined by the media. But soon QUAD seized to exist as Australian politics had taken a shift and Prime minister John Horward lost his caim to the next term and Kevin Rudd became the new face of Australia. Kevin Rudd denied Australian involvement in any step taken to hurt its Allie in Asia, China. Due to its strengthened ties with China in Export trading. The dream Perished.Soon Prime minister Abe got back into power and revived the QUAD. However, during the 2017 ASEAN Summit  all four former members rejoined in negotiations to revive the quadrilateral alliance. With Prime Minister Malcom of Australia, Prime Minister Abe of Japan, Prime Minister Modi of India and President  Trump of the United States agreeing in Manila to revive the security pact among tensions in the South China Sea that was caused primarily by China and its territorial ambitions.

The most important factor of the QUAD is that it has never said explicitly that it has any intentions to curb China but it always said that the main focus of the dialogue was to create a strong Economic and defense front in order to protect Itself as well as the Asian countries but is it a fact?

The answer is no. Countries live to seek a benefit out of partnerships and there is a common hidden gain for all these countries which is to prevent China fro washing away its wings t the peripherals of South Asia and the world As China has claimed islands in the South china sea and are conducting military and Navy trials in the Sea. Further, China has aggressively sponsored The hambantota port In Sri Lanka, an amount which Lanka will not be able to pay soon(at least for the next 99 years) and China has been our new lessee for that port. Similarly the Gwador Port has been under its occupancy for the same reasons. The Chinese have created a string around India to envisage its mission of the String of pearls around the world and become the most powerful nuclear Arsenal in the world. But the two questions that will matter are- Can the QUAD be successful? Wha is the current position of QUAD?

starting with the latter, on the sidelines of the UNGA the defense ministers of these four countries have come together which was marked as an important day as the meetings were shaped from a joint secretary level to a foreign ministry level but there were no positive reports from the meetings. Answering the former question, Yes but there is no will for these countries to take up a resource rich country of China.
